Manila is the capital of the Philippines, so it’s unsurprisingly lively all-year-round. The city offers a blend of tradition and modernity. You can visit Fort Santiago which is a heritage site and have a glance of the Spanish-era. You can even get on a horse-drawn carriage that will tour you around this historical site.
Q4. What’s your English teaching experience?
I have worked at an Eikaiwa for 3.5 years. I have also taught all levels of Eiken to elementary, junior-high school and high school students. I’m also a corporate trainer and I teach global business skills to businesspeople from different industries.

I like how efficient the transportation system is in Japan. I love hiking, so I’m happy that I can easily access the trails using the public transportation.

Dallas is the 9th largest city in the U.S. It’s the home of the Dallas Cowboys! One of the most popular NFL teams. There are plenty of great burgers, steak, and Mexican food!

I’ve taught as an ALT for 5 years in Japanese Elementary school to Junior High school. I’ve assisted all levels of English speakers at an Eeikaiwa for 4 years. I’ve taught English to corporate Employees for 3 years as well as taught TOEIC and Eeiken lessons.

Watching Sci-fi movies, playing adventure video games, reading and translating Manga into English!

I come from a small town. It is always sunny there. It is 40 minutes from Disneyland. They make delicious wine. If you are 21 years old you should visit the wineries.
Q4. What’s your English teaching experience?
I taught in China for 3 years in high school and in an training school. Then I was doing online teaching for a year as I traveled in Europe. When I came to Japan I started in the public junior high schools in Tokyo, then I started at a private elementary school. Now I have started my first year at Teikyo.

I like reading and drawing pictures. I also love traveling and adventure. I’ve been to 15 countries and I hope to go to many more.

My favorite food is Tacos and my favorite Japanese food is Udon.

Learning any language can seem difficult but try to remember that challenges make us stronger and sometimes they can be fun. It will let you open your life to a whole new world. You can make new friends and experience new things. Let’s try to get better together!

I enjoy living in my hometown because it provides a modern, well-developed environment that blends industry, tourism, and vibrant local culture, making it a pleasant and desirable place to live. It also offers convenient access to both domestic and international travel, as the city is home to the second-largest airport in the Philippines, serving as a key gateway for travelers. I would recommend enjoying a staycation at one of the beach resorts on Mactan Island. The city is known for its beautiful beaches and is a popular destination for both local and international tourists, offering opportunities for relaxation, water sports, and diving.
Q4. What’s your English teaching experience?
I have gained extensive teaching experience across various educational levels, including both formal education institutions and English conversation schools. My career began at an international preschool in Chiba Prefecture, where I developed a strong foundation in early childhood education.
Subsequently, I served as an instructor and trainer for TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS, and Business English courses. I was later honored to be appointed as an English Assistant Professor at a highly regarded university in Tokyo. In addition, I have taught at both elementary and junior high schools in Saitama Prefecture.
My experience also includes working in a specialized care facility, where I supported students dealing with anxiety, depression, and traumatic experiences such as abuse and bullying.
Currently, I serve as a University Lecturer at Teikyo University. Alongside this role, I also conduct webinar classes for graduate students from prominent universities in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and China.

In my free time, I enjoy reading books, listening to music, and engaging in outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. I also practice yoga and meditation to maintain balance and well-being. Additionally, I enjoy traveling, playing airsoft, and riding my bicycle during my leisure time.

I appreciate a variety of international cuisines, including Filipino (Adobo), Japanese (Sushi), Korean (Samgyeopsal), Chinese (Dumplings), Spanish (Paella), Italian (Lasagna), and French (Coq au Vin). Each dish offers a unique flavor and cultural experience that I truly enjoy.

I appreciate the balance between modernization and the preservation of cultural traditions. In addition, I strive to incorporate Japanese life philosophies such as ikigai (a sense of purpose), kaizen (continuous improvement), and omoiyari (empathy and consideration for others) into my daily life.

Q3. What’s your hometown like?
One of my favorite things in Manila is there are coffee shops in every corner, and some of them are open 24 hours. I`m proud that we are collectively happy and warm people, so if you ever visit Manila, you`ll meet a lot of friendly faces. I highly recommend to visit Intramuros, it`s a historical walled city built by the Spaniards as their seat of government in colonial times. You should also go to the oldest Chinatown in the world, just a few minutes walk from Intramuros.
Q4. What’s your English teaching experience?
I started my teaching career at a Korean Academy in the Philippines in 2014. Then, I moved to Shanghai, China in 2018 and worked as English Instructor until 2020. In the height of the pandemic, I established my freelance career as Communications and Research Consultant advising university students on their research paper. In 2023, I moved to Japan and taught at Toyo University for a year. In 2024, I was working as ALT in Senior High Schools in Saitama.
Q5. Do you have any hobbies?
In my free time, I love reading novels, watching movies or TV series, taking photographs, painting, or candle making. I live for arts and crafts and just be zen.

My favorite food is “pancit.” It`s a local noodle dish in the Philippines. You can eat it anytime, but it`s also a staple food during birthdays because it represents life longevity.
Q7. What do you like about Japan?
I like the fact that Japanese beliefs in the supernatural stems from respect in the environment and the unseen spiritual beings instead of fear. It`s refreshing to find a place where different religious beliefs and practices co-exist peacefully. So, I like participating in many festivals like Tanabata or Bon-Odori. I also visit shrines and temples because they bring me a sense of serenity.

I invite you to take part in our extracurricular English conversation classes because it will help you strengthen your communication skills and other areas that you would like to develop overtime.
